This application will slash the time required to manage fixed assets and inventory. The tedious process of complying with regulatory reporting will be fully automated - any organization with assets that need to be periodically inspected for safety or regulatory reasons would realize immediate savings in terms of time and cost.

The bar code reader application interacts with assets, wirelessly updating the main computer system.  The application may be configured to produce automatic exception reports, and to automatically relay these reports via e-mail or paging.  In addition, this application will provide automatic notification as items with limited shelf lives approach their termination date.

One example - this application can be configured for use by Emergency Operations Centers to automate the inventory and inspection of its specialized equipment. Any emergency equipment with a fixed shelf life or requiring routine inspection or replacement will be easily managed with this software. Currently, most items are manually inspected and documented on paper. This software will automate the inspection process and integrate with existing asset management systems to provide an accurate item count, item location, and monitoring of item shelf life.
